1. Background
Human Data Insight Group is a consultancy that leverages data-driven insights to enhance business strategy and operational performance for clients in the life sciences, healthcare, and other industries. We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Consultant to expand our presence and client base in the UK, Switzerland, Germany, and US markets. This role will focus on identifying opportunities, fostering client relationships, and driving growth in these regions. Compensation includes a success fee based on the volume and quality of leads generated.
2. Objectives
The Business Development Consultant will be responsible for:
- Identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities in the target regions.
- Building and maintaining relationships with potential clients and stakeholders in the life sciences and healthcare sectors.
- Expanding Human Data Insight Group’s brand reach and reputation in the UK, Switzerland, Germany, or US markets.
3. Scope of Work
The consultant’s responsibilities will include:
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, opportunities, and key players in each target region.
- Lead Generation: Source and qualify prospective clients, engaging in targeted outreach to build a robust pipeline.
- Client Relationship Management: Establish and nurture connections with decision-makers in potential client organizations, understanding their needs and providing tailored insights.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a sales approach for each market, supporting Human Data Insight Group’s growth targets.
- Partnership Development: Identify and develop partnerships with complementary organizations and strategic allies in life sciences and healthcare.
- Brand Positioning: Contribute to brand initiatives by promoting Human Data Insight Group’s capabilities and success stories in target regions.
4. Deliverables
- A market entry strategy for each target region, including competitor analysis, prospective clients, and industry trends.
- Regular reports on lead generation, client engagement, and pipeline development.
- Quarterly updates on business development activities, progress against targets, and recommendations for refining strategy.
- A list of potential partnerships and alliances within the target markets.
5. Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in business development, ideally within the life sciences or healthcare sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of the UK, Switzerland, Germany, or US markets, including local business practices and industry networks.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with demonstrated ability to connect with senior decision-makers.
- Strategic and data-driven mindset for identifying and capturing business opportunities.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, while effectively aligning with team goals.
6. Duration and Reporting
The consultant will work directly with the Executive Director at Human Data Insight Group. The engagement duration will be flexible, with a part-time commitment and potential for occasional travel to target regions as needed.
